


Teaching / Mentoring
Kyra has 5 years' experience of teaching in Further and Higher Education, contributing to programmes at the University of Bristol, Bath Spa University, University of the West of England and City of Bristol College's Foundation in Dance Theatre Performance. From 2006 until 2010 she was an Associate Lecturer at Dartington College of Arts, where she led the final-year undergraduate module in Dance on Screen.
Kyra regularly mentors and advises professional artists working in a range of disciplines, especially live art and physical theatre, on choreography for live and screen projects, and sharing skills and ideas is central to her own evolving practice.
In parallel with specialising in screendance, Kyra has significant experience of teaching contemporary dance and improvisation and was for several years the lead contemporary dance teacher for the University of Bristol's Dance Society. She has initiated and led community classes and classes for professional dancers at a variety of Bristol venues, and has been a guest dance/ choreography teacher for a range of schools, community groups and vocational training courses in dance, theatre and circus.
Through her teaching, Kyra continues to share and explore her interest in improvisation and choreography for live performance as well as choreography for the screen and screen media production.
