Production
Kyra has produced a variety of screen projects and live shows. As a recipient of the Jerwood Dance 4 Camera Award in 2003, she worked at MJW Productions on the Dancing Across the Water series (ACE/ BBC/ NPS), gaining valuable experience of the production cycle for works for TV, from conception to transmission
Kyra joined the "crack group of voluntary artists- workers- enthusiasts" at the Cube Cinema in late 2002, building up hands-on experience of managing film, music and performance events and parties and helping to run a dynamic and ever-evolving venue
In 2004/05, Kyra and Lisa May Thomas were commissioned by Dance South West to produce Action: a region-wide dance on screen programme including training opportunities, curating and producing a compilation of work from 10 artists, and a tour to 12 venues. Kyra went on to set up international screenings of this compilation, including International Film Festival Rotterdam and AntiStatic Dance Film Festival, Adelaide
